The Capercaillie Cottage is situated within the 300-acre croft where cattle and sheep roam freely. It is over 200 years old and it together with the adjacent stone barn has been totally transformed into a romantic get away with many unique features.
It offers a log burner to keep you cosy at night, a secluded hot tub for up to 4 people overlooking the hillside for miles around and contemporary living space.
When you enter the cottage you are met with a stunning main living area which is completely open plan. To one side is the lounge with the large log burner and comfortable chairs and sofa to lounge in. On the other side is a handmade kitchen offering a full range of appliances. Off the kitchen is a steep ladder stair to the mezzanine area where you can a lovely Queens double bed. To the rear of the kitchen, there are very low double doors that lead to the ground floor en-suite bedroom. You can also access this bedroom from a part-covered walkway which is advisable due to the height and depth of the internal doorway.
This charming bedroom boasts a lovely claw-foot bath as well as the en-suite. Outside, at the opposite end, there is a shower room that can be accessed from the part-covered decking.
The third bedroom, which is in a converted briar, can be found a very short distance away and has a four-poster bed. It like the main cottage it enjoys stunning views. The cottage and barn are set in one-acre grounds which has an ornamental garden

Please note the following: 3 dogs are welcome but must be kept on the lead when outside the garden area due to the working croft. There is private parking for up to 4 cars. No smoking.
There are 2 steps to the decking and hot tub, and there is a fenced pond in the grounds adjacent to the garden.
